Toke Constantin Hebbeln's film "NimmerMeer" has won a student academy award in the category "Best Foreign Film". The film uses lyrical images to recount a fantastic parable about the coming of age and the power of dreams and was made in collaboration with Frisbeefilms.

Webbliworld

Aardman Animations, the UK studio of Wallace and Gromit fame, has launched a environment for kids called WebbliWorld. Webbliworld is a colorful site for children with fun games, cartoons, and news. The site is based upon the idea of earning points, which are called "Webbles."

It's got games, films and social networking elements-- users create their own Webbli avatar from colorful, pleasingly odd geometric peacemeal and earn virtual coins-- "Webbles"-- by voting in polls, visiting partner sites and playing games.
